UNMISS Force Change of Command ceremony

Major General Junhui Wu from #China has officially taken over as the new Force Commander of the #UnitedNations Mission in #SouthSudan during a ceremony where he was warmly welcomed by all peacekeepers. With 40 years of experience in the People’s Liberation Army and #UN peacekeeping, he declared his commitment to prioritizing protection of civilians and placing their safety, dignity and trust at the center of all military operations. His leadership marks a new chapter for UN peacekeeping efforts in #SouthSudan as the country navigates the difficult journey from conflict to peace.
