“The war is no longer breaking news internationally, but here it’s a daily reality”, says Mohammed El Hajj, Country Director for Malteser International in Ukraine. While highlighting the many ways in which Ukrainian communities push through hardship, he also acknowledges that resilience has limits. “We see increasing exhaustion, especially amongst the elderly, families with children, and medical staff. The most urgent needs remain very practical.” 💬 As such, our support includes psychosocial support for children and adults, winter relief support, healthcare and other activities.
