On the feast of St. John, our Secretary General, Clemens Mirbach, speaks from the ruins of the first hospital dedicated to St. John in Jerusalem. This is the birthplace of the Order of Malta. While almost a milennium has passed, the mission that started here has always remained the same: serving God by serving the poor and the sick. The opening of the Order of Malta clinic in Gaza this week has brought our mission back home to the Holy Land.
