Three years ago, a devastating #earthquake struck #Syria and #Türkiye, changing the lives of many people forever. More than 60,000 people lost their lives, and millions continue to feel the lasting impact. Together with our partners, we have supported more than 150,000 people in both countries on their path to recovery, through health and psychosocial services, nutrition and livelihood assistance, and the rehabilitation of vital water networks. Among those we supported is Afaar. As a mother of five and the sole breadwinner, she struggled to provide even the basics for her children. Thanks to the agricultural project of our partner organisation Shafak, she was able to earn an income while learning valuable farming skills. With this support, she could buy food, medicine, and diapers for her children.
