Protecting children’s joy is a short film set in Côte d’Ivoire, created in collaboration with award-winning Ivorian artist Nuits Balnéaires and his team. Through scenes of childhood, the film reminds us how universal the joy of play truly is. But it also shines a light on something less visible: the hidden risk of schistosomiasis, a parasitic disease that is prevalent in many communities across the region. This film highlights the importance of mass drug administration campaigns that help protect children from schistosomiasis and the critical role of continued collaboration and commitment to keep that progress alive. Unlimit Health partners with the Ministry of Health to deliver treatment, research and supports cross-sectoral innovations, such as female genital schistosomiasis prevention.
