Accelerating Climate Action in Latin American Cities: From plans to action | UCAP CAI
How do 35 million people across Latin America move toward a greener future? 🏙️🌱
Between 2022 and 2026, the C40 UCAP Climate Action Implementation (CAI) programme, funded by the UK Government, partnered with five major cities: Bogotá, Guadalajara, Lima, Medellín, and Mexico City to turn climate ambition into a tangible reality by implementing high-impact projects and by institutionalising climate governance.
Key highlights:
✅Lima: Redefining urban mobility through cleaner air strategies.
✅Mexico City: Developing first-of-their-kind e-bus and trolleybus guidelines.
✅Guadalajara: Pioneering low-emission urban zones and low-carbon building roadmaps.
✅Medellín: Decarbonising the heart of the city with a model for scale.
✅Bogotá: Inclusive mobility and gender equity behind the wheels of electric buses.
This video is part of a global series showcasing how UCAP CAI is driving transformational change in 15 cities across Africa, Latin America, and Southeast Asia. 🌍
