Developing first-of-their-kind e-bus and trolleybus guidelines | UCAP CAI

In Mexico City, the transition to a net-zero future is powered by technical innovation and a commitment to making high-quality electric transit accessible to everyone 🚎⚡ Through the C40 UCAP Climate Action Implementation (CAI) programme, funded by the UK Government, in partnership with Mexico City, the city developed pioneering technical guidelines for e-buses and trolleybuses to replace high-emitting older fleets. Beyond the vehicles, the programme supported the integration of inclusive climate action into the city’s transport operational framework, ensuring that the transition to electromobility is technically sound, safe, and permanent. Key highlights: ✅ Development of first-of-their-kind technical e-mobility guidelines. ✅ Optimisation of transit corridors to replace high-polluting vehicles. ✅ Mainstreaming climate and gender criteria into transport planning. This video is part of a global series showcasing how UCAP CAI is driving transformational change in 15 cities across Africa, Latin America, and Southeast Asia. 🌍 Explore Mexico City's Knowledge Products: https://www.c40knowledgehub.org/s/article/Electromobility-in-Mexico?language=en_US Visit the UCAP CAI webpage: https://c40.me/3VAuZFX
