In Medellín, local leadership is proving that decarbonising public infrastructure is the most effective way to inspire a city-wide transition to clean energy 🏢⚡ Through the C40 UCAP Climate Action Implementation (CAI) programme, funded by the UK Government, in partnership with Medellín, the city accelerated the energy transition of its public building stock while serving as a regional "Academy" to share these lessons with 11 other cities. By strengthening its municipal Monitoring, Evaluation, and Reporting (MER) systems, Medellín has institutionalised its climate goals, ensuring every ton of carbon reduced is tracked and verified.
