Pollination Management: A Frontier to Revitalizing the Agricultural Systems

The ‘Embedding Sustainable Pollination Management into Nepalese Agricultural System’ project is being implemented in Karnali Province districts of Nepal from 01 June 2022 to 30 November 2024. The project has been executed at the field level by LI-BIRD and HERD International in association with the University of Bristol, UK, Agriculture and Forestry University, Rampur, Tribhuvan University/Centre Department of Zoology, Kirtipur and PACE Nepal Jumla. This video is prepared to sensitize and build the capacity of farmers to conserve and manage pollination services across project sites and beyond, mainly to minimize the pollinator decline through integrating pollinator-friendly agroecological practices. This video is developed to raise awareness about the importance of conserving pollinators, the major causes of pollinator decline and some adaptive measures for their conservation and management. This video highlights the importance of pollination management for achieving food and nutritional security for smallholder farmers. This video intends to build the capacity of individuals and institutions to manage pollination services and facilitate to conserve and enhance pollinator biodiversity in Nepal.
