Accountability for corruption and crimes that affect the environment (Environment Day 5 | CoSP11)
This event explores how stronger anti-corruption efforts under the UNCAC can help dismantle networks behind crimes affecting the environment. Speakers share challenges, good practices and tools to enhance enforcement, cooperation and accountability for sustainability.
This special event took place at the 11th Conference of the States Parties to the UN Convention Against Corruption in Doha, Qatar. It was part of Environment Day – a special theme day co-organised by a coalition of government, inter-governmental and civil society partners.
This session was co-organised by Colombia, France, Peru, the Basel Institute on Governance, INTERPOL and the Wildlife Justice Commission.
