The session discusses the building blocks of an effective governance framework to prevent corruption and environmental crimes and strengthen environmental and climate protection, highlighting real-life examples and the relevance of UNCAC, other global fora, and multi-stakeholder initiatives. This special event took place at the 11th Conference of the States Parties to the UN Convention Against Corruption in Doha, Qatar. It was part of Environment Day – a special theme day co-organised by a coalition of government, inter-governmental and civil society partners. This session was co-organised by Greece, the Basel Institute on Governance, Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative, Fundación Multitudes, UNCAC Coalition and WWF International.
