Empowering Communities with Clean Water and Hygiene in Amran Governorate
In rural Yemen, access to clean water is a daily challenge that significantly impacts the health and well-being of the local population. Thanks to funding from France’s Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs (Crisis and Support Centre – CDCS), CARE has implemented a transformative Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) project in the Raydah district. This initiative has successfully provided clean water to 13,112 individuals, drastically reducing the prevalence of waterborne diseases and improving overall community health. Additionally, 14,155 residents have participated in hygiene promotion sessions, gaining essential knowledge on maintaining proper hygiene practices. These efforts not only address immediate water needs but also foster long-term health benefits, offering hope for residents of #Raydah.
