IWD2024: Dr. Sarah Shares Her Inspiring Journey as a Humanitarian Aid Worker in Yemen
"Women, girls, and children suffer greatly from limited medical services and medical personnel," says Dr. Sarah Damag, a mother and an aid worker from #Yemen who helps deliver humanitarian healthcare projects for women and girls in her community.
"When you work in these areas, you realize that people are in dire need. They deserve all these efforts to reach them and try to help them as much as possible. Working in the humanitarian sector has opened my mind to many new things, including people's needs and suffering. It has made me love working in the humanitarian sector, determined to persist and to continue to work in it.”
