Health Care Construction and Income Generation in #Taiz
In #Yemen, approximately 17.8 million individuals in Yemen require health assistance, including 3.2 million IDPs. A total of 24 per cent of people in need are women, who require access to various medical and reproductive healthcare services, including 4 per cent pregnant women in need of emergency obstetric care.
In Al Hujer village, Al Ma’afer District, CARE, with funding from Global Affairs Canada (GAC), has made a significant impact. The newly constructed health facility now provides safe health care to 4,564 residents. Additionally, 60 residents have earned much-needed income through our cash-for-work activities. This achievement is especially crucial in Yemen, where rural areas suffer from inadequate health infrastructure. Watch this inspiring video to see how community empowerment transforms lives!
