Rebuilding Education: CARE Rehabilitates the ’30 November’ School in Amran, Yemen
With generous funding from Luxembourg’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, CARE has successfully rehabilitated the 30 November School in Amran Governorate, Yemen. This project included the renovation of 15 rooms, comprising classrooms, an administration room, a teachers’ room, and two toilets. Additionally, three new toilets and a water tank were constructed in the schoolyard. Teachers received training sessions and an incentive payment of 50,000 Yemeni Rials each. This initiative has provided 596 students with a safe and conducive learning environment, paving the way for a brighter future.
In 2024, the education system in Yemen continues to face significant challenges due to ongoing conflict. Approximately 4.5 million children are out of school. Despite these challenges, projects like this are crucial in providing stability and hope for Yemeni children. Join us in celebrating this milestone in improving education in Yemen.
