Clean Water Made Possible for Residents in Yemen’s Hajjah & Mahwit Governorates

In Qarn Masjid distict, Al-Mahwit Governorate, Yemen, residents faced a dire water crisis, relying on seasonal springs and costly, yet polluted water. Thanks to the generous support from the German Federal Foreign Office (GFFO) and CARE efforts, clean water now flows to 6,066 households in Al-Mahwit and Hajjah, powered by 394.4 KW of solar energy. This project has also provided cash assistance to 3,142 families and trained 38 volunteers in hygiene promotion, fostering healthier, thriving communities.
