From Drought to Hope: Somali Women Rebuild Through a Shared Tuk Tuk
After losing all their livestock to drought, displaced families in Doolow, Somalia, were forced to leave everything behind and start over in Kaharey displacement site.
With support from IOM and the UK Government through the Resilience Adaptation Fund, five neighboring women combined their livelihood grants to buy a Tuk Tuk taxi — creating a shared source of income and hope for their families.
Their story is one of resilience, cooperation, and rebuilding after crisis.
