Once marked by hardship, insecurity, and lack of basic services, the Girible relocation site in Bosaso has transformed into a thriving, safe, and dignified community. Families who previously lived in makeshift shelters now have permanent homes, access to clean water, sanitation, education, markets, and health services. Through the Saameynta Joint Programme, 619 permanent homes were built, 1,200 trees were planted, and essential protection, livelihood, and social services were provided—supporting over 2,000 residents. Solar lighting, community infrastructure, and inclusive planning have turned Girible into one of Bosaso’s growing neighborhoods.
