SafeMed: Eight Years of Impact Strengthening Ukraine’s Access to Medicines

For eight years, the USG-funded Safe, Affordable Medicines for Ukrainians (SafeMed) activity partnered with Ukraine’s government, civil society, and private sector to strengthen the country’s pharmaceutical system. From improving transparency and reducing corruption to ensuring nationwide access to lifesaving medicines, SafeMed helped build a foundation for a healthier future—despite the challenges of war.
