Government-led contracting of the private sector (not for profit and commercial) is one tool for supporting delivery of selected health services. On December 3, 2024, MSH-led USAIDโ€™s Health Systems for Tuberculosis (HS4TB) hosted a webinar debate and Q&A on whether contracting the private health sector is an important approach for health service delivery in low- and middle-income countries. The webinarโ€”part of USAID's Health System Strengthening Seriesโ€”was a discussion with public health leaders on where contracting is either being established or currently implemented in Bangladesh, India, and other high tuberculosis burden countries.
