Sustaining progress requires intention, partnership and continued commitment.

As highlighted by Heran Ayele, Technical Advisor for Spotlight Initiative, a whole-of-society approach—bringing together governments, civil society, the UN and the European Union—has led to lasting impact, with 97 per cent of achievements sustained.

From advancing legal reforms to strengthening frontline services, these results show what is possible when investments are inclusive and locally owned.

But in today’s complex global context, these gains remain at risk.

This is a call to action: we must continue to invest, partner and act to ensure no woman or girl is left behind.
