Many young refugees from Ukraine in Poland struggle to connect and communicate confidently in a new environment. Through UPSHIFT, they created a project that brings youth together weekly to strengthen communication skills and build friendships. With guidance from a psychologist, participants co-create task cards that help practice empathy, listening, and teamwork — turning learning into a shared path toward confidence and connection.
