Tetra Tech supports water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) services for communities around the world through our project work and our Charity of the Year program. In November 2022, we announced our partnership with Engineers Without Borders (EWB) that is dedicated to changing lives by developing clean water solutions for communities in need. The first community project that is part of that partnership is in the village of Kavule, Uganda.  The water supply in Kavule was contaminated, which led to an increase in disease and sickness, especially in children. In addition, girls in the village were responsible for carrying water from a water source over a half mile away, which exposed them to personal safety issues and limited their time to attend school. Our partnership with EWB supported the construction of new water supply points for the village, benefiting more than 400 students at school and more than 2,100 people throughout the Kavule community. As a result of the generosity of Tetra Tech employees and the dedication of EWB, thousands of people in the village of Kavule now have safe drinking water.
