Indigenous Peoples and representatives of international organisations from Africa, Asia and Latin America gathered together in Bolivia in September 2025 for an IWGIA-supported conference to share their experiences of autonomy and self-determination over their lands and territories. Topics included building Indigenous autonomoies and governments, and using mapping and GPS for marking borders, litigating rights and protecting their territories from various actors.
