Cyber-enabled fraud is a major transnational organised crime. It has grown exponentially in recent years, causing devastating losses for individuals, organisations and economies.
In partnership with Egmont Group and Interpol, the FATF has analysed the methods used for cyber-enabled fraud and to launder the proceeds. This analysis revealed examples of successful responses and strategies to tackle this crime, including risk indicators to help detect and prevent cyber-enabled fraud and laundering of the proceeds.
