The 24th marks four years since the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine – a war that started with Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and illegal annexation of Crimea in 2014. Four years of daily air raids. Four years of loss and uncertainty. A cost of freedom measured in lives and in futures permanently altered. Yet even in these conditions, civil society organisations and independent media continue their work, often at great personal risk. This anniversary is a reminder that supporting Ukraine is strategic for Europe and its future. On this occasion, we are sharing the voices and messages of EED’s partners in Ukraine.
