In Xinavane, in Manhiça District, Maputo Province, many children are still recovering from the devastating impact of the floods that affected their families and destroyed their daily lives. The Child-Friendly Space has become a place of hope, safety, and recovery, where children can play, learn, and begin to overcome the trauma they have experienced. But this support is at risk. Many of these children lost their homes, their belongings, and in some cases even access to basic needs such as food and school materials. Here, they find a safe environment, but they still need urgent support to continue these activities. We urgently need support to keep the Child-Friendly Space running, with toys, learning materials, food support, and other essential resources that help children feel safe and cared for again.
