Understanding How Barriers to Women Farmers Affect Productivity in Eswatini
What prevents women farmers from reaching their full productive potential in Eswatini?
Women play a central role in agriculture, yet barriers related to access to resources, services and decision-making continue to affect farm productivity and household incomes. Addressing these constraints benefits not only women, but families, communities and agricultural value chains as a whole.
Through the Alliances for Action (A4A) approach and the SheTrades initiative, the International Trade Centre (ITC) works with national partners to strengthen agricultural services and promote more inclusive and productive farming systems.
In this video:
• The key challenges affecting women farmers and entrepreneurs
• How these barriers influence productivity
• Why addressing them strengthens agricultural outcomes
