Speakers:
Zozan Alloush is an independent political and development consultant and mediator with extensive expertise in political affairs, community development, and conflict mediation. Among other engagements, Ms. Alloush is a member of the Women’s Advisory Board (WAB) to the UN Special Envoy for Syria and served as its Chair in 2023. In this capacity, she provides strategic advice on political processes and gender dynamics, ensuring that civil society perspectives are represented in negotiations and peace dialogues.
Dr Deen Sharp, PhD CUNY, is a Visiting Fellow in Human Geography & Environment at the London School of Economics and a senior consultant for the Aga Khan Prize for Architecture. A contributor to several highly regarded publications, he also edited Beyond the Square: Urbanism and the Arab Uprisings (2016), Open Gaza: Architectures of Hope (2022), and the forthcoming Reconstruction as Violence in Syria and Learning Ecologies in Architecture. Experience spans the UN, governments, and international NGOs.
Dr. Nourah Shuaibi is an Assistant Professor of Political Science at Kuwait University, specialising in GCC-EU relations. Most recently, Dr. Shuaibi’s research culminated in the book The Implications of FDI: Women’s Rights and Post-Conflict Countries (forthcoming). In addition to her work in academia, she serves as a moderator for Kuwait’s NATO-ICI office and has provided instruction and training for the diplomatic corps at the Saud Al Nasser Diplomatic Centre in Kuwait.
