In Bitaale, Galkayo, reaching healthcare once meant long and difficult journeys. Today, care is closer to home. Established through community efforts in 2025, Bitaale Health Center now serves more than 6,500 households, providing essential health services for women and children. From maternal care and child treatment to nutrition screening and health education, the facility is helping families access lifesaving support when they need it most. Through the Joint Resilience Programme (JRP) and the generous support of the Government of Germany, essential health services are reaching children and families more effectively and closer to home.
