This recent edition of Charting China shows timelines of China’s responses to five recent conflicts and military interventions: the Israel–Hamas war; the Iran–Israel war; the Thai-Cambodian armed conflict; the capture of Nicolás Maduro; and the US–Israel war against Iran. Graphics follow the various elements of China’s responses in the opening days of the conflicts, including evacuation of its citizens, diplomatic efforts via speeches and phone calls, as well as language in formal statements made by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
