Helen’s story shows the real impact of reaching people with advanced HIV disease in time. Too many individuals are still diagnosed late, putting them at high risk of life-threatening infections that can be prevented or treated with the right care. Through the THRIVE project, supported by Unitaid and implemented by a consortium led by the Clinton Health Access Initiative with AfroCAB and Penta, communities and health workers are expanding access to prevention, screening and treatment across six African countries. This video highlights how locally led solutions can save lives and bring quality HIV care closer to those who need it most.
