Unitaid and PAHO: Advancing disease elimination across the Americas

On 1 October 2025, Robert Matiru, Unitaid’s Director of Programs, delivered remarks at the opening of a special Ministerial Technical Session of PAHO’s Directing Council on the 30+ Best Buys Disease Elimination Initiative. He highlighted Unitaid’s leadership in eliminating vertical transmission, advancing cervical cancer prevention, and supporting the introduction of lenacapavir.
