In October 2024, devastating floods hit the villages of Pechea, Cuza Vodă, and Costache Negri in Galați County, leaving families displaced and in desperate need of support. In partnership with Amazon, we delivered 700 sleeping bags and 162 beds to families impacted by the severe flooding. This collaboration highlights the power of collective action in times of crisis — and the difference it can make when we come together to support vulnerable communities. As hashtag#COP29 kicks off today in Baku, we are reminded that while the impacts of climate change are inevitable, coordinated, timely action can help mitigate future crises, reduce suffering, and protect the most vulnerable.
