The 2026 UNDP Governance and Peacebuilding Community of Practice for UNDP experts took place in Banjul, The Gambia, on 10 March 2026. Key statements were delivered by The Gambia’s Minister of Public Service, Administration, Reforms, Policy Coordination and Delivery, Hon. Baboucarr Bouy, and UNDP Director of the Sub-Regional Office for West and Central Africa & Senegal Resident Representative, Njoya Tikum. Their interventions followed welcome addresses by the UN Resident Coordinator for The Gambia, Mr Karl Frédérick Paul and UNDP Resident Representative for The Gambia, Mandisa Mashologu. Ms Abiola Idowu-Ojo, Executive Secretary of the African Commission on Human and Peoples’ Rights (The Banjul Commission), Banjul, delivered the keynote address.
