Thank you to the International Mother Language Movement, Canberra, for inviting us to participate in celebrations earlier this year along the shores of Lake Burley Griffin. There is growing awareness that languages play a vital role in development, in ensuring cultural diversity and intercultural dialogue, and also in strengthening co-operation and attaining quality education for all. When we join together and celebrate diversity there is nothing that we can't do.
