Community adopts green future practices in Abuja
Sustainable agriculture is often seen as a complex practice; however, the landscape is changing as communities gain the farming skills and knowledge needed to improve their livelihoods and support climate action.
In the Wassa community of the Federal Capital Territory in Nigeria, the Heinrich Böll Foundation-Nigeria's Green Future Project team, comprised of Favour John Ayomipo, Abutu Paul, Gidado Maryam, Johndick Perfect, and Ajiboye Peter Olaoluwa, has trained 50 women and youth, including members of IDP communities, on sustainable farming techniques suitable for limited spaces and the cultivation of organic food without hazardous pesticides.
From concept to impact, this documentary highlights the team's approach and captures the beneficiaries' positive experiences following their training. program.
