Freight – the delivery of goods and services – is the backbone of our economy. But the system is outdated. HGVs and LGVs congest streets in urban areas, with devastating effects on people’s health. Air pollution contributes to up to 43,000 deaths in the UK every year, and children are among the groups most affected. We’ve been working with partners across Lambeth and Southwark to test ways to create a better, more efficient, low-polluting freight system.
