Athletes and coaches agree: Playing these days is getting harder because climate pollution is making extreme heat deadlier and intensifying air pollution. And unfortunately, it will only get harder due to EPA’s rollback of the Endangerment Finding. More extreme heat days. More poor air quality days. Hotter surfaces to play on. All of this leads to athletes and kids pushing past safe limits or being forced to sit on the sidelines as games and practices are canceled due to extreme weather.
