LA Wildfires & Latino Health Disparities

The LA fires ripped through Southern California one year ago. The impacts were devastating, especially for Latino communities. 
Dr. Sylvia Gonzalez presents her research, noting that nearly half of this 10 million-person region identifies as Latino, and these fires hit communities that have already been deeply affected by COVID-19, systemic inequities, and poor planning. 
From access to healthcare and clean air to transportation and food, these challenges are worsened by racial and ethnic disparities.
