Strengthening Regional Integration for Improved Access to Agricultural Inputs in West Africa

Following the Soil Values program’s strategic planning meeting, a follow-up workshop focused on the free movement of agricultural inputs between coastal countries and those in the Sahel was held on October 8 and 9, 2025. This exchange highlighted the barriers that continue to hinder regional trade, such as differing standards, infrastructure gaps, and logistical challenges. This regional momentum continued during the dialogue “Regional Synergies for Soil Health and Agricultural Input Markets,” held on December 9 and 10, 2025, in Accra, Ghana. This event brought together government representatives from the Ministries of Agriculture and Trade of Ghana, Côte d’Ivoire, Togo, Benin, and countries implementing Soil Values, as well as experts in soil fertility, agricultural distributor associations, farmer organizations, and technical and financial partners, along with the Dutch delegation. #SoilValuesProgram #NetherlandsPrograms #SoilHealth #SoilFertility #AgriculturalDevelopment #Sahel #BurkinaFaso
