Certification of origin, phytosanitary certificates and invoicing have been identified as priority areas for cross-border paperless trade facilitation, notably during intergovernmental discussions taking place as part of implementation of the Framework Agreement on Facilitation of Cross-border Paperless Trade in Asia and the Pacific (CTPA), a UN treaty and entered into force in 2021. These discussions and consultations have resulted in the preparation of three guides to accelerate progress in this area: a Guide for Digital Proof of Origin Implementation; a Guide on Adoption of Cross-border Electronic Invoicing; and a Guide on Electronic Phytosanitary Certification Implementation. These guides build upon existing international best practices and offer various options for implementers to consider as they develop or upgrade their paperless trade systems. This webinar will briefly introduce the content of each guide, followed by discussion with invited experts, many of which were involved in the development of these new reference materials. The webinar will be organized by ESCAP, in collaboration with partners including, the Asian Development Bank, the International Chamber of Commerce, and the World Customs Organization.
