The Asia-Pacific Stats Café Series on “AI and the future of National Statistical Offices” was held on 22 Sep 2025, 12:00–13:30 Bangkok time (UTC+7). This session was tailored for Chief Statisticians and senior policymakers to explore real-world applications of AI in official statistics, share experiences from NSOs already integrating AI, and examine key risks and considerations. It considered how to harness AI’s potential while upholding the integrity and trust that official statistics demand. This Stats Café also served as a gateway to future sessions exploring AI’s role in official statistics.
