Controlled demolitions: the next step after deminers find remnants of war

In the mountains of Tajikistan, FSD deminers regularly discover decades-old submunitions left behind by past conflicts. When they are too unstable to move safely, these explosive remnants of war have to be destroyed where they were found. This video shows how humanitarian demining teams neutralise explosive ordnance safely and responsibly, which helps prevent accidents, restore safe access to land, and protect communities for generations to come. This project has been funded with assistance from the UK Government. 🇬🇧
