Discussion of "Atomic Echoes: Untold Stories From World War II"

We invite you to a special screening of the documentary Atomic Echoes: Untold Stories From World War II, followed by a panel discussion on the lasting human, political, and global consequences of the atomic bombings on Hiroshima and Nagasaki. The film follows two friends connected by family histories on opposite sides of World War II as they explore the lasting trauma of the bombings. Through the stories of Japanese hibakusha (survivors of the atomic bombings) who endure lifelong health complications and psychological scars, alongside American atomic veterans who witnessed the aftermath and continue to struggle with radiation-related illnesses and PTSD, Atomic Echoes offers an examination of memory, responsibility, and the lasting impact of nuclear warfare.
