Why are African countries resisting involvement in the Iran war?
For decades Iran has used a combination of military and economic incentives to court African allies. Despite these relationships, many African countries have resisted involvement in the conflict, foreshadowing Iran's potentially weakened influence on the continent. "What happens next is going to depend on the state in which Iran emerges from the war," explains CFR Senior Fellow of African Studies Ebenezer Obadare.
