Empowering women-led small businesses in northern Afghanistan | UNCTAD

In Jawzjan province, Hooria Ahmadi, a handicraft producer, and Rawina Burhani, a tailoring entrepreneur, are strengthening their businesses through targeted capacity-building support. Led by UNCTAD and supported by the Special Trust Fund for Afghanistan (STFA), this initiative has helped them formalize their businesses, diversify products with contemporary designs, and apply marketing skills – leading to higher sales and new job opportunities for local women.
