Suchitra’s story: Challenging Norms for Girls' Futures | #MovementMakers

“There is still a long way to go.” Suchitra grew up facing menstrual taboos that put girls at greater risk of dropping out of school. She began working with civil society organisations in Nepal to show that menstruation is natural. 🌟Today, she and her partners are working with schools, supporting reproductive health facilities, and leading awareness campaigns. Their advocacy has brought sanitary facilities to many schools, but she knows there’s still more to do. 🗣️Suchitra is calling on everyone to support comprehensive sexuality education and girls’ education so more girls can participate fully in communities and societies. Change is possible through grassroots leaders like Suchitra, who are challenging harmful norms, supporting girls, and advocating for meaningful change. 🌍 💬 What action will you take to support girls’ education and rights?
