On November 8, 2024, the conference "Procedures and Mechanisms to Strengthen World Heritage Protection" took place at the denkmal fair in Leipzig. It was organized by ICOMOS Germany with the financial support of the German Federal Foreign Office. The conference convened World Heritage experts to demonstrate World Heritage procedures and instruments, including the challenges in their use, and to discuss possible further solutions to strengthen World Heritage protection.
