The European Cultural Convention

Building a new Europe around common values was not just about changing laws, it also meant building an idea of unity and togetherness amongst the different countries and cultures of the continent, recognising that ‘Europeanness’ brought with it a common heritage and history. Today, we are celebrating 71 years since the European Culture Convention was opened for signature #OnThisDay in Paris to encourage the study of languages, history and civilisation and celebrate all of Europe’s cultural diversity. #EuropeForCulture Learn more: https://www.coe.int/en/web/culture-and-heritage/home
